Installation & updates

The installation fee buys a working, supportable deployment, not a ZIP file. ETZ verifies the prerequisites your governance model depends on: connectivity, authorisations, system roster, audit log drain, authentication and AI provider wiring before go-live, and tells you before starting if remediation is needed.

The installation guide, including the full prerequisites checklist, is provided as soon as the commercials are settled, so your Basis and BTP teams can pre-check the prerequisites before ETZ’s verification should they wish to do so.

ADT services reachable over HTTPS, appropriately authorised SAP users, your AI provider API key, and on BTP: XSUAA, Destination and Connectivity entitlements, an SAP Cloud Connector to on-premises systems, and a log drain to your log platform for durable audit retention. The full checklist is in the installation guide and is verified by ETZ before installation.

ETZ applies the current release for you, directly or via screen share with your team, during a maintenance window you agree to in advance. Updates cover security fixes, SAP interface compatibility and new capabilities. Major versions may introduce changes and are adopted by agreement at renewal; regular updates are backwards compatible.

Because those are two different things, and you get both. The AI models themselves belong to your own AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI or Azure OpenAI): model improvements reach you continuously through your provider, with no platform update needed. The 90-day cycle covers the platform around the models: governance gates, SAP interface compatibility and new capabilities, tested as a whole before release, which is the cadence a governed tool in an SAP landscape should move at. Security fixes are not held back for the cycle; they are released as needed and recommended for immediate application.

You should never be in that position: each update is scheduled with you in advance, and ETZ reaches out well before the 90-day mark to agree the window. If you believe an update is overdue, contact sapproducts@etzglobal.com and we will confirm your version status and schedule the update.

Air-gapped deployment is not a standard commercial offering; talk to ETZ. It is supported technically (GPG-signed tarballs, checksum verification, no internet egress) and is scoped as a bespoke arrangement covering deployment, updates and support.

Yes, subject to a compatibility check of your release level. The platform connects through standard ABAP Development Tools (ADT) services over HTTPS, which must be activated on your ECC system, and requires an SAP BTP subaccount with Cloud Connector for connectivity. Minimum release levels and any capability differences on ECC (for example, RAP-based modernisation targets) are confirmed in the pre-installation prerequisite check included in the installation fee.
