SAP for Retail and Consumer

SAP that keeps commerce moving: the till, the web shop and the ledger in step, and steady through every peak.

Where we have done this

Cinemas, a sporting-goods chain, garden centres, a spa group, a bicycle maker and a national general retailer in the United States, Brazil and South Africa: SAP hosted on AWS and moved to S/4HANA, connected to point-of-sale, e-commerce and CRM, and supported through the trading calendar without an in-house SAP team.

What we do here

  1. We run SAP for retailers who are not SAP shops.

Technical and functional support for mid-size retailers and consumer brands, hosted on AWS, without an in-house Basis team. The cinema chain, the sporting-goods stores and the garden centres each had one SAP landscape and nobody whose job it was to run it.

  2. We connect the store to the ledger.

Point-of-sale, SAP Commerce web shops, Salesforce CRM, payment and bank platforms integrated with SAP and monitored, so the till and the books agree and a customer record means the same thing in both systems.

  3. We move retail SAP to the cloud.

Landscapes migrated to AWS and taken to S/4HANA through hypercare, around the trading calendar: a sporting-goods chain moved and upgraded in the same programme, a consumer-products manufacturer upgraded and migrated in Brazil.

  4. We keep master data flowing.

Articles, prices and business partners replicated to stores and checkout without duplicates or gaps, and SAP Content Servers for the documents behind them at a national retailer.

  5. We support finance through the season.

Month-end, payments and bank integration kept steady while the stores are busiest, including finance support for a cinema group across its sites.

  6. We size for peak and pay for average.

Cloud capacity scheduled around trading patterns, so you are not paying for December in March, and the environment is ready before the season rather than during it.

The result: fewer disruptions, connected sales channels, clearer visibility, and SAP that lets retailers focus on customers and revenue instead of systems.

Where SAP landscapes go wrong in retail

The same four things, at almost every landscape we take over in this sector.

  1. Articles in SAP and articles at the till that disagree, found by a customer.
  2. A single SAP expert for a national chain, and a holiday calendar nobody checks.
  3. Peak-season problems found in peak season, because capacity was last reviewed at go-live.
  4. Integrations built by a vendor that has since left, with no documentation.

Ask SAP why the till disagrees

The ETZ AI Platform traces an article, a price or a posting from the store to the ledger and explains where it went wrong, with SAP-grade authorisation and an audit trail on every action.

  • Runs in your own SAP BTP subaccount. SAP data never transits ETZ.
  • Your SAP authorisations decide what it may see and do, not the AI.
  • Every action lands on an append-only audit record.
